Student Aid resources for parents and students

The Project on Student Debt has a page that lets you look at the average student debt, state by state, and college by college (4-year colleges only).  Click on Texas and see the average student college loan data, then scroll down to compare colleges.  Not all colleges responded to the request for information.

At  Lamar University, listed as a low student debt school in their Student Debt and the Class of 2009 report, the average debt load was $ 7,856.
